The Lewitt LCT 640 TS The LCT 640 TS features unprecedented functionality. Its Dual Output Mode enables you to record the front and back diaphragm of the capsule individually - thus you can change and fine-tune the polar pattern, add or decrease room, turn your microphone by 180 Degree - even in postproduction. In Multi-Pattern Mode, the LCT 640 TS has all the well-known characteristics of a classic multi-pattern condenser mic. In order to make it easier to play around with different polar patterns, Lewitt created the Polarizer plug-in (compatible with PC and MAC, available as VST, AU and AAX plugin). Using the Polarizer, polar patterns can be set and fine-tuned by simply using a slider bar. Usually, mid side stereophony can only be done with two microphones. But now, it is way easier to use one LCT 640 TS. Just point the side of the microphone to the signal source and record both outputs on a stereo track in your DAW. Change the panorama for both signals to adjust the stereo width. Plug in one 3-pin XLR and you have a large diaphragm multi-pattern condenser mic featuring the following polar patterns: Omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, supercardioid and figure-8. And with Perfect Match Technology, any two LCT 640 TS mics will always form a matched stereo pair.
